It’s too easy, IMO to sleep walk in ATL and miss out on the most amazing things. Remember the African artists’ work I was enamored with not long ago at The High? Well, apparently I’m not the only one. El Anatsui has a dope interview with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Sustainability is at the center piece of what he does. He tells his students that they shouldn’t have to pay for the media they work in. That’s a lesson for all artists in how to approach their game- it’s easier to play if you don’t have to pay. Be sure to check out his work over at the High Museum of Art.
Until then? Enjoy the interview (TRT 15:00)!
